Open Sessions

Fun coaching sessions for 5-12 year olds that develop skills, confidence, communication and teamwork.

The P4–7 sessions are for girls and boys who are just starting out in basketball or currently play at their school and want to develop their skills.

The P1-3 session for girls and boys introduces basketball in a playful way. This session is run alongside the P4-7 sessions to support siblings and friends of different ages.

Tea, coffee and WiFi are available in the reception area for parents who wish to stay for the duration of the session. Free parking is available also.

It is possible to pay for the full block, or a casual rate of £3.50 at the front desk on your first session.


Coaches: All sessions are led by qualified Blaze coaches with assistance from Blaze under 16/18 players

Pathway for girls: From this squad players are encouraged to join the brand new Blaze under 12 and under 14 development squads. If you are interested in joining this team there is information available here.

Pathway for boys: These sessions feed into the Blaze Under 10 and Under 12 Development Squads. Identified players are invited to join the Development Squad advanced weekly trainings in addition to their existing sessions. Players are invited to the squad at various points throughout the season. Information on the Blaze under 12 pathway is available here.
