priligy purchase in india The Crags is a community sports centre with a fresh approach.

A group of basketballers re-opened the Centre in January 2012 after it was closed by the local authority.

Since then, the Centre has been up and running featuring community groups like basketball, street soccer and aerial yoga.

Located in South-Central Edinburgh, the Centre consists of a large games hall, studio, social reception area and open-access outdoor pitch.

We believe in the potential of sport to develop people and build communities.

Our first year featured many highlights on the way towards the vision of a fully sustainable social enterprise.

A range of community clubs call the Crags home (they even have keys to the building). Each week we provide drop-in access and diversionary activities for young people.

During the day local schools receive prioritised access for PE classes. After-school we host classes for kids in basketball, football and dance. Our studio hosts weekly classes for adults in aerial yoga, martial arts, pole fitness, pilates and dance.

The Centre was originally built in the early 2000s through the hard work of local people following a very long campaign.

The community organisation subsequently passed the facility to Council control and it failed as a financial proposition and a community resource, resulting in its closure in 2010. A council procurement process was won by a joint Boroughmuir Blaze Basketball Club/ http://alatusllc.com/finance-commerce-names-top-projects-of-2015/ basketballscotland submission.

A 25 year ‘peppercorn’ lease was signed with City of Edinburgh Council by a new Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation called The Crags Community Sports Centre (SC042676).

Trustees are nominated by Boroughmuir Blaze Basketball Club, basketballscotland and Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association.
